About Us

In the Spring of 2020, our founder George found himself with more time on his hands (for obvious reasons)! 

He used this time to start teaching a few friends guitar via video call. The success of these lessons then led to teaching more people, before Walker Music began. 

Why we are passionate about teaching music

Learning an instrument is a highly rewarding thing to do. And, if starting at a young age, can set the foundation for a skill that can be enjoyed for a lifetime.

It encourages important skills such as discipline, patience and a good work ethic whilst helping people to find a new outlet to express themselves.

It also develops and maintains cognitive skills through learning and remembering shapes and patterns.
